When I first had Little Girl I felt anything but normal (I’m sure many of you can relate), but I needed to feel normal, I took a shower and put on makeup everyday even though I had nowhere to go and I really doubt my 2 week old was impressed with how “put together” I looked.
One of the other ways I started to feel normal, or more like myself at least, was to get out of the house. Up until I had her, I worked and left the house every day, and on the weekends when I didn’t have to go anywhere, I went grocery shopping or out with Hubby running errands.
So as the weather got nicer, we started to go for walks with the stroller around our neighborhood.
I tried to do the same when I had Little Boy but we had one problem: he was born in early November and if you know Calgary or Canada for that matter, you know November means cold and possible snow (for months). Getting out wasn’t so easy, but of course I didn’t have one of these fancy Baby Shields from 7 A.M. Enfant.
