Even the kids liked them (at first they were a little hesitant to eat them because of the 'green stuff' - green onion, but we had them try one piece and after that there was no stopping them).
Thai Meatballs
1 lb. lean or extra lean ground beef
¼ cup hoisin sauce
¼ cup dry bread crumbs
3 tablespoons finely minced green onions1 egg
2 teaspoons minced garlic (2 cloves)
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
¼ teaspoon salt
Mix together all of the above ingredients in a large bowl
(a clean had works best for this), place meat balls on to a baking sheet lined
with parchment paper. Cook at 400F
convection for 18-20 minutes, or until done.
Cooking time will depend on the size of the meat ball.
Serve with sauce.
Enjoy.
